Plumbing help - kitchen sink
Are there any plumbers on here who wouldn’t mind giving a bit of advice for an issue I’m having with a leaking sink?

Re: Plumbing help - kitchen sink
Just tighten the bolt in the waste first (plughole) if that doesn't work and it's definitely leaking from there do what Marty says If it's leaking from pipe underneath sink change the trap as Don has said.

JayJones. Its right under the sink. Unscrew it by hand, add some waterproof silicon, to the seal, Tighten back up, then leave for few hours. Job done and the money you have saved is enough money to get 30 minutes with a lovely Polish women!!! Happy days!!

Make sure the bolt in the strainer which sits inside the sink bowl is tight.
If it still leaks get a new trap. Do not buy a cheap shit one buy a Mcalpine brand one.

The leak is coming from under the sink where the pipework attaches to the sink, wondering if i can just seal it up or if it will need someone who knows what they are doing, which i dont

Re: Plumbing help - kitchen sink
At the risk of adding something sensible and useful (sorry - no fun me) I am not a plumber but had a similar experience where the "sink" was leaking at the joint of the waste. If this is the case buy a new basket waste from Screwfix (virtually free) and refit. Fairly easy if you are not completely inept.

Re: Plumbing help - kitchen sink
Is it the pressure water system that is leaking or the drainage water system that is leaking.

Narrow it down and give us a clue please.
